Curiosity and trust are key in therapy

The therapeutic process is generative and enriching when you feel seen and valued. Thank you for taking time to visit my website and for putting energy into caring for yourself. Whether or not we work together, engaging in healing is positive work for each of us individually and collectively, so I appreciate your efforts to connect with support in your growth process.

Trauma and resilience are woven together. When a trauma response develops, you are creating a protective pattern to prevent further harm. Sometimes these protective responses can harden into routines that once protected you but now no longer fit. These habituated trauma responses may be larger than you, passed down from generation to generation. In our work together, we will identify what is working and not working for you now. We will create space for your vision of growth in your life.

ADHD or experiences of Neurodiversity

Managing ADHD or other symptoms of having a neurodiverse brain can be challenging. Figuring out your specific distress and overwhelm patterns helps with preventing build up of tension. Don’t stay blocked by shame or stigma resulting from adverse experiences with doing things differently or understanding in your own way. Together we will explore your specific way of understanding and processing sensory experience as well as ordering thoughts and making sense of emotions. With tools, you can utilize the resilience in being wired differently.

I believe each of us has a singular process of discovering how to be emotionally well. I’m dedicated to questioning what that means within larger social structures that at best enable numbness and at worst attempt to destroy.

Together, we will explore your distinct practices of surviving, moving towards balance, and experiencing wellbeing. Necessarily, this often involves exploring what is painful or not working for you. This requires a safe, nonjudgemental space to feel and process difficult feelings. In my work, I have witnessed and supported people in their completely unique healing processes. My approach to working with struggle celebrates neurodiversity, queerness, and individual choice, while acknowledging the different ways that structural violence and intergenerational trauma impact us all on many levels.
